These actors and actresses made investments in many financial instruments and can now afford the latest gadgets, houses, and vehicles. Now, the ultra-elite among them have gone beyond the typical houses and cars and have purchased even yachts and their own private planes. Frequently, they are accused of being out of touch with the ordinary human being because of their status and riches. But, of course, we should not be too quick to judge. It may be true that some of them cannot relate to our daily struggles, but one thing this pandemic has revealed is that celebrities are humans, too. They can be infected, and they can also help in the fight against COVID-19. One example is Stephen and Ayesha Curry, who donated money to a country community food bank through their foundation. Similarly, Ryan Reynolds — yes, Deadpool — and his wife pledged a million dollars to a food bank as well. Not every celebrity is about flaunting a luxurious lifestyle.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates’ net worth is estimated to be around $102 billion. He used to be the richest man in the world but has now been beaten by Jeff Bezos. Top of the list or not, Bill and Melinda have lived in luxury. Just recently, they bought a house in Del Mar California worth $43 million. Gates also has a garage for 23 cars and probably has millions worth in his collection of luxury and vintage cars. He also owns or co-owns various real estate investments across the US and abroad.

When he is not working, he likes traveling to places like Australia, Croatia, the Amazon, and Belize. During his vacation in the Mediterranean, he commissioned a 439-foot superyacht and paid $5 million for it, including the services of a helicopter.

Oprah Winfrey

As a celebrated actress, TV show host, TV network owner, and philanthropist, Oprah certainly has enough money to afford herself a luxurious lifestyle. Her net worth stands at over $3.1 billion. With her book contracts, product lines, magazine, Emmy-winning shows, and network, she’s definitely amazing wealth by the minute. She is so rich that she even purchased a $28.85 million horse ranch even though she does not own a single horse.

Julia Roberts likes her privacy as much as she can have it. So apart from when she has projects, we do not see the star that often. It does not mean, however, that she and her family are not enjoying the fruits of her labor, which is around $250 million. She was recently seen with her husband and three children in Hawaii, having a vacation. Back in the US, she owns three houses in Malibu, with one that was sold for $ 8 million. Her billionaire neighbor purchased it, without any need for title loans, of course.

Julia also owns three more apartments in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park area. She recently paid $8.3 million for a historic home in the Presidio Heights area.  She also owns a private jet, which we can only guess had cost her millions.

He has lived a luxurious life that at one point, he spent $1 million in just one day. When he received payment for $1 million, he bought two Mercedes cars for himself and his father, among other expenses. He was not financially savvy then, and we think he now consults a financial advisor. Shaq also owns a private yacht.

Now a learned man, he owns a Krispy Kreme Franchise, several car washes and restaurants, and has also joined the board of Papa John’s Pizza. He is also selling his mansion outside Orlando for $21.99 million. He purchased the Shaq-apulco in 1993 for $3.95 million.

As a billionaire, the basketball legend can certainly afford the best of life.  He acquired his $1.6 billion net worth over the course of his career at the NBA. Now, he already owns the Charlotte Hornets. He also owns an automotive company and a steakhouse in New York. When he hosts parties, he invites partygoers to his penthouse in Florida. Michael bought a Gulfstream G-IV, which was customized to include his Jumpman logo and jersey number. Apart from a private plane, MJ owns a mansion in Florida worth more than $12 million.

John Travolta

No doubt that John Travolta is a fan of the lavish lifestyle. He is also a qualified pilot and likes taking to the skies whenever he has time to spare. He does not only have one plane but four to his name. His total investments for the four planes amounted to more than $50 million. One of these was donated to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society. His net worth of $250 million allowed him to convert his home into an airport, complete with a runway.

Snoop Dogg

An accomplished rapper and business venturist, Snoop Dogg is now used to the lifestyle of the affluent. He has collected about 25 cars with many of them being classic and vintage vehicles from the 1960s to the 1970s. He also owned a house in Claremont, California which he purchased for $600,000 and then sold for almost $2 million. When he remodeled this house in 2006, he constructed a gym, a recording studio, and a home theater. This move showed that Snoop Dogg knew his way around investments.

Steve Harvey

Had this former insurance salesman and boxer not made it big in Hollywood, very few people will know the name, Steve Harvey.  He lives a luxurious life by splurging on houses. Just in 2020, he purchased a 34,688 square-foot palace in Atlanta, Georgia for a whopping $15 million. The house is nothing short of spectacular, with an infinity pool, a spa, and state of the art facilities like an expensive home security system. Steve also has another home in Atlanta, which he and his wife bought for $3.4 million.  He also owned a condo in Chicago which he sold for $7.7 million.

Yet another house is in Texas which was last listed for a little over $1 million. The man clearly deserves those houses as he worked hard for various jobs to get to his $160 million net worth. He does not technically own a jet, but Steve has leased a Gulfstream. He paid $250,000 and had a few legal troubles with the oral agreement afterward.

OJ Simpson

If you evade conviction, it would be sensible to treat your life after that as a second chance. OJ took it to mean he could enjoy a lavish lifestyle. Now living in Las Vegas, OJ finds time to play golf at the Arroyo Golf Club a few times each week.  He has also been spotted in various hotels and at a hockey game.  OJ also allegedly travels with his own Breathalyzer as a single instance of DUI could send him back to prison, given that his parole does not end until 2022.

He owns a 5,000-square feet home worth $1.8 million and a 1988 Bentley Mulsanne. He was also able to hang on to his cars despite all the financial challenges and legal scuffles.  What we know for sure is that his attorneys are good, because they were able to get him out of the dire legal situation he was in.

Dennis Rodman

The basketball legend is known for his opulent lifestyle, which he lives complete with helicopters, parties, and private boats. Dennis does not appear to have any financial competence, because when he has money, he spends it.  He was trapped in massive debt, along with unpaid taxes and child support to boot.  He still gives to charity though. In early 2020, he put his Lamborghini Speedboat to auction.  Unlike fellow basketball legends, Dennis only has a net worth of $500,000.

Still, this is a good improvement from 2012 when his lawyers declared him bankrupt and unable to pay child support. We just hope that Dennis is able to recover financially and give up living a lavish lifestyle for a little while.

Pat Sajak

He is worth $65 million, which easily makes him one of the most prosperous TV show hosts in America. He still has a contract with his show, The Wheel of Fortune until 2022. While he does not own a jet or a yacht, Pat lives in the better part of Los Angeles, California, and owns another house in Severna Park, Maryland.  He bought this through a mortgage in 1991 for a total of $1.275 million. It is definitely worth more than a million in 2020.

It looks like living a life of luxury is low on the priority scale now for the TV show host after his health scare in 2019. We hope his insurance company covered everything so he did not have to pay that for his surgery.

Wesley Snipes

Wesley Snipes is not likely to be cast in Hollywood anymore due to his tax filing issues, but with a net worth of $10.2 million, he can still afford a rather luxurious lifestyle.  In 2008, he was acquitted of all felony charges filed against him but was convicted of failing to file his returns. He was released from prison and was required to pay the IRS $17 million in interest, penalties, and back taxes.

It appears the movie industry was forgiving because he was able to jump right back to making films after his release from prison. This famous director made his debut behind the camera in the film Grand Theft Auto in 1977. He has some business undertakings that allowed him to live a life way above the regular Joe. Lebron James

Lebron is rich. His net worth is estimated to be north of $480 million, and he is aiming to become a billionaire. He has a lavish lifestyle but is also being frugal and strategic in his investments to achieve this goal. In late 2015, the king of basketball signed a deal with Nike that is worth more than a billion. As evidence that he could also be lavish, he and Dwayne have matching Porsches. A Rolls-Royce Phantom equipped with TVs on the seats is also in his car collections.

He has an extensive car collection, which includes a Kia K900 which he uses regularly. Lebron also reportedly takes care of his body by spending more than $1.5 million on various workout routines, cryotherapy sessions, and supplements. He also owns a Gulfstream G280.

Robin Williams

Happiness cannot be measured by money, or even the outward façade we show the world. This was the case with famous actor Robin Williams, whose tragic death surprised the whole world. Kirk Douglas

When he died, Kirk Douglas was worth $60 million. This kind of wealth already put him in the richest and most powerful echelons of Hollywood. He lived a long life, dying at 103 years old, and his story was a rags-to-riches one. He did not really splurge on many things, but his house in Palm Springs was listed for $3.45 million. Meanwhile, his former home in Beverly Hills was sold for $17 million.

When he died early in 2020, it was reported that none of his riches was left to his son Michael, but was donated to his foundation, the Douglas Foundation. Well, Michael Douglas already had a name for himself so aside from the insurance proceeds; he probably did not need anything else.

This seafront villa was co-owned by Sean and his second wife Micheline. The villa featured amenities like a spa and a gym, and, for sure, an excellent home security system. Also, it is just 30 minutes away from Monaco and Cannes. It is the perfect romantic getaway, and it is just a stone’s throw away from the most prestigious places in France.

Michael Jackson’s sister has also made a name for herself as an actress, singer, and producer. She reportedly has a net worth of $190 million.  Janet Jackson is known for sporting the best attire, and therefore, she does spend a lot of her money on fashion-related purchases.  She and former husband Wissam Al Mana liked traveling, and the couple was spotted in Milan and other parts of the world.
