Vanna White

Before her breakthrough in hosting, Wheel of Fortune hostess’ Vanna White attended The Atlanta School of Fashion and Design in Atlanta, Georgia, and worked as a model. She was also a contestant for Miss Georgia USA in 1978 but moved to LA to pursue an acting career. Vanna first appeared on an episode of the game show The Price is Right. Although she failed to win, her presence on the show left a mark and she was cast in small roles for films like Gypsy Angels, Looker, and Graduation Day. It also made way for Vanna to be part of the Wheel of Fortune family along with Vicki McCarthy and Summer Bartholomew. Yet, it was she who became a regular hostess of the show after she signed a contract with the producers.

Apart from her hosting and acting career, Vanna wrote an autobiography entitled Vanna Speaks and was even featured on the cover of a popular men’s magazine. She was also a recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contribution to the entertainment industry. With her hard-earned money, Vanna was able to make investments in real estate.
