Brigitte Bardot

French animal rights activist, former actress, and singer, Brigitte Anne- Marie Bardot showed her dedication and undying love for animals by being the founder of The Brigitte Bardot Foundation, located in France. In 1986, she decided to auction her numerous accessories and other personal collection which led her to gather an amount of 3 million for the foundation’s campaign and future activities.

Since then, her foundation took on initiatives to prevent animal cruelty and created shelters for aggrieved animals not just in Paris but in the whole country. It is still successfully running until now and I bet we can say all the hard work she dedicated to it was all worth it.  Now that Brigitte is retired in the industry, practically every penny she makes goes to her foundation. No doubt many animals were saved through Bardot’s magnanimous efforts.
