Derek Jeter

With both his parents being big fans of baseball, it comes as no surprise that Derek Jeter eventually found a burning passion for it himself – and watching Dave Winfield inspired him even more. His journey to becoming an all-star baseball player began when he was five years old when he joined little league baseball. After years of practicing and competing, he finally landed a spot on MLB’s New York Yankees, the team he spent his entire 20-year professional career with.

Besides being regarded as one of the sport’s most talented players and team leaders, Derek is also known for his successful business ventures. Along with becoming the Miami Marlins’ co-owner and CEO, he has also spent some investment money on The Players’ Tribune, a multimedia company that revolves around world-class athletes. He also launched Jeter Publishing, which has since released children’s books, nonfiction books, and is reportedly set to produce films and TV shows soon.
