Swimming is an integral part of Michael Phelps’ life, having developed a passion for it when he was just seven years old. As time went on, this passion eventually brought him to a higher degree of success. As a professional swimmer, he has won an impressive total of 28 Olympic medals, making him the most decorated Olympian of all time. By the time he announced his retirement in 2016, he had received the honor of being considered the greatest swimmer in sports history.

Besides competing, Michael earned a fortune thanks to his endorsement and sponsorship deals with brands like Omega, Under Armour, and Beats by Dre. Now that he’s focusing more on the business side of things, he also launched his very own swimwear brand MP, even wearing some of its suits during his last competition in Rio. Through his Michael Phelps Foundation, the swimmer also made the IM Program, where he takes the time to teach kids how to swim.
