Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child and succeeded as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child in the 1990s. Destiny’s Child, of course, is one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. The American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer is one of the world’s best-selling recording artists, having sold 118 million records worldwide. Beyonce became the highest-earning Black musician in history and was included in Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world.

All the awards and recognitions in her career pushed her to create her own management and entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment. Her company began as a production unit for videos and films in 2008. In an interview, she said that she wanted to manage herself and that she didn’t need to go to some big investment company. She is truly a legend!
