Magic Johnson

Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr. is a retired basketball player who has played for the Los Angeles Lakers and the 1992 United States men’s Olympic basketball team. After his retirement, Johnson made investments in various businesses. Although he failed initially, he eventually gained proper footing, learning the ins and outs of how companies work.

One of his achievements as a businessman was building 125 Starbucks stores across America, offering the brand to a broader demographic of people along the way. Another would be his ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, a team he helped by increasing the number of attendees in their stadium. If there is one thing that Magic Johnson learned throughout his business ventures, it is that one must always be open to suggestions and that one needs to learn from past failures.
