Jon Stewart

John Leibowitz, who is more famously known as Jon Stewart, was born in New York, November 28th of 1962. People have always known him as the class clown and the person that lights up the room whenever he comes in. Everyone knew that Jon was going to be someone special when he grew up and truth be told, Jon became a comedian and a political satirist by profession.

Jon hosted The Daily Show on Comedy Central in 1999 and gained national success almost instantly because of his wit and talent, the show’s popularity skyrocketed to four times its original numbers as a result. Jon, to his credit, does pursue some causes and advocacies outside of comedy and journalism. He and his wife bought a 12-acre farm — the Bufflehead farm — and have begun expanding it by acquiring an even bigger 45-acre land that they will soon open as an animal sanctuary to shelter and rescue abused animals.
