Robin Williams

Robin McLaurin Williams was known for his wide variety of voices and for his skills at improvisational comedy. The American comedian and actor is sometimes regarded as one of the greatest comedians in history. He first started doing stand-up comedy in the mid-’70s, in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and, to a huge degree, gained prominence after he played the role of Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy from 1978 to 1982. Williams had a total net worth of $50 million before he passed away.

He grew up from a very prominent family — his father worked for Lincoln-Mercury Motors as the senior executive and was in charge of the entire Midwest. His mother, on the other hand, was a former model from New Orleans. During his time in Mork & Mindy, Williams was earning a total of $35,000 each episode, which roughly translates to $130,000 today after adjusting for inflation.
