Michael Douglas & Diandra Luker

It is no doubt that Michael Douglas is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, but along with his fortune and investments are the series of ups and downs that have come with it. Before his high-profile marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, the actor was married for 18 years to Diandra Luker, the mother of his eldest son. He met the then 19-year old Diandra during the inaugural ceremony of US President Jimmy Carter. He proposed to her after only dating for two weeks and they got married in March 1977. They lived in peace for the first 10 years of marriage, but there was a rupture between Douglas and Luker at some point, and their marriage came crashing down on them.

They share a son, Cameron, who followed his father’s trail and entered the spotlight as an actor. Douglas and Luker are now grandparents to his child, Lua Izzy. They seemingly maintain a civil relationship and have both moved on with their respective lives.
