Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson

The year 2000 marked a new life for Kate Hudson. It was the time she met her first husband, Chris Robinson of the band The Black Crowes. They had been dating for less than a year when they got hitched on New Year’s Eve. Their son, Ryder, was born four years later.

Throughout their marriage, Hudson was fond of discussing her then-husband using beautiful and endearing words. When she won Best Supporting Actress for the film Almost Famous, she gave the musician credit for being her inspiration. The family of three would often travel together when Hudson was shooting a new film or when Robinson went on tour. Sadly, the couple went their separate ways in 2006 due to their indifferences. They continue to co-parent their child, who is now 15 years old, and maintain a good relationship to this day.
