Despite achieving a prosperous career in comedy and writing a best-selling relationship advice book, Steve Harvey’s private life was brought into the spotlight following his separation from his ex-wife, Marcia Harvey. Steve worked as an insurance broker when they first met and the two hit it off immediately. The couple tied the knot in 1980. Their once happily married life became unstable while he was raising his career as a comedian. The couple called it quits in 1994 while Marcia was still pregnant with their third child. Steve went on to his career while Marcia stepped away from the limelight.

While their marriage did not last, they were blessed with three kids: twins Karli and Brandi, and son Broderick. Karli is now a motivational speaker along with her husband, Ben Raymond. Unlike her twin, Brandi tends to keep her life more private, though she inspires women every day, thanks to her wellness website. The youngest, Broderick, is a social media icon known for his clothing line. Though their parents did not end up married forever, they have done well in raising their children.
