British heiress Petra Ecclestone’s lavish wedding to businessman James Stunt made headlines when it reportedly cost $5.5 million. The pair wed in August 2011 at the Odescalschi Castle in Rome, the same place where actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes exchanged their “I do’s” back in 2006. What caught the attention of many was when the couple paid a little over $400,000 for the venue.

It’s also said that Ecclestone made further investments when she shelled out $3.5 million to book singer Alicia Keys, DJ David Guetta, and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie to perform at the reception. A number of celebrities were able to witness the big day, with Scream star David Arquette and fellow heiress Paris Hilton making an appearance. The duo went on to welcome three kids, but sadly, the fairytale wedding was not to last as they went on to go on separate ways in 2017.
