Being a supercouple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 2008 wedding celebrations had the makings of a highly extravagant yet exclusive wedding. Prior to it, though, the power couple traveled discreetly to get their marriage license. Their big day was pretty exclusive, with only 40 guests reported to have been invited.  For their big day, the couple’s wedding attires were certainly quite sleek and elegant. Beyoncé’s, in particular, was a strapless fit white gown which was perfect for her.

To make the highly exclusive yet charming atmosphere possible, 70,000 of the Halo singer’s favorite white orchids from Thailand, a large tent, a collection of candelabra, and an SUV filled with AV equipment were reportedly required. In addition, there was a ‘no social media’ policy that was implemented at all times. Overall, the occasion was quite opulent, with the orchids alone reported to have cost $5 million, which probably required no money loans for the successful couple.
