Jay Leno has lived a relatively laid-back life. By mutual agreement with his wife, they have no children. He also does not like to bet, gamble, or drink. When buying houses, the couple would buy cash, no mortgages.  Because of his relatively subdued spending habits, he was able to accumulate a net worth of $400 million. He reportedly owns 181 cars, which means he can drive a car per day for six months if he wanted to. The total cost of his massive collection is $12 million.

He also just bought a house in 2017 for $13.5 million. The oceanfront mansion is located in Rhode Island.  The nine-acre property is French-inspired and has eight bedrooms, a tennis court, a pool, and a beach.  This purchase was a break from his usual frugal lifestyle, but it is also a welcome break because we think that Jay should also enjoy what he has worked for from time to time.
