Being part of a movie franchise almost always ensures a steady source of income. Such was the case of Matt Damon, who starred in the Ocean’s and the Jason Bourne franchises. With his earnings, he was able to co-found two production companies. He purchased a premium penthouse in Brooklyn Heights at $16.745 million, in a deal that took credit as one of the most expensive in Brooklyn. Apart from his property in Brooklyn, he also owns other properties in Los Angeles and Miami, where he likes spending his summer holidays.

Matt is also known for his philanthropic work. He suffered some backlash, however. At the height of the #metoo campaign, it appeared he was diminishing the suffering of the victims. We just hope he was misunderstood there.
